I’ve come to remove your bondage under Obiano – Nwoye

APC governorship candidate, Dr. Tony Nwoye, yesterday, called on voters in the state to vote for him saying that it is the surest way to lift them from the bondage and banter which he said they had been subjected to by the Governor Willie Obiano-led administration in the state.

“Anambra people have been in bondage under the APGA administration in the state. This is the time to remove them from that bondage”, he said.

He spoke, Thursday, in Abuja at the inauguration of the party’s 48-member campaign council for the Anambra elections.

According to him, he has improved on his manifesto which he used to contest for the same position in 2013, saying he has learned a lot in the past few years.

Also speaking, chairman of the campaign council and Bauchi State Governor, Barr. Mohammed Abubakar, said the battle to take over the state is the beginning of the APC effort at integrating all the component parts of the country and quelling violent agitations.

“This is the beginning of the integration of the entire country. This is the beginning of the quelling of the agitations”, he said.

National chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, on his part counselled the Igbo to join the party, saying it is the surest pathway of having a president of Igbo extraction.

“We must change the narrative in the South east and we must start with Anambra because the APC represents the most viable root for any South east person to the presidency of this country”, he said.

He also welcomed the former deputy national chairman to the Modu Sherrif led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Dr. Cairo Ojougbo to the party, saying his presence in the committee showed that he has a lot to contribute to the development of the party.

The council which has 13 serving and former governors also had a former chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Dr. Cairo Ojougbo, who only recently defected to the ruling party.
